This is the piece that started it all! (Or at least all the “sculptural still lifes”). A neighbouring artisan at the One of a Kind show asked me to make her a glass fried egg, even though the bowls, plates, and star ornaments in my booth suggested nothing of the sort. But heck, I like a challenge, so I made an egg.
And then some bacon….
And, well, the rest is history.
