Mock Box 9” X 7” X 5” (sold)

lunchbox small res

We didn’t eat lunch at school very often but when we did, I was always a little embarrassed by what I thought of as an “uncool” lunch: a sandwich made with “mock chicken,” which I never saw anybody else eating, always garnished with vegetables, and maybe a few cookies. Most embarrassing of all, however, was that these items were wrapped in waxed paper, long after all the other moms were putting lunches in cool plastic bags. What an ungrateful child I was!

2017, kiln-fired and cold worked glass, found lunch box, waxed paper (Sold)
