Pancake Stack 10” diam. X 3” high

My favourite thing about this piece is the way the rounded edges of some very hard pieces of glass can look like the soft edges of some very fluffy pancakes. It's a great example of the potential offered by the medium of kiln-formed glass. Oh, and I also love the swirl of syrup on the top, especially because it took me several tries to get it just how I wanted it (see the exploding pancakes story, “Picasso Prefers Pancakes,” below.) As for those blueberries, I'm very pleased with the result, even though the cold-working took a few millimetres off the tips of my fingers and an hour or two of my life I'll never get back.
