The French toast in Chicago is pretty good 12” X 9”

Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for the inspiration of a piece. The idea of making French Toast with powdered sugar came to me while we were riding the “L” train from O’Hare into downtown Chicago a few years ago. No idea why, maybe there was a billboard with a photo of French Toast on the train? I forgot to write it down, so the idea was neglected for more than a year. When I remembered the idea, I also remembered the train ride, which was otherwise totally forgettable, and now “French Toast” and “Chicago” and public transport are perpetually associated in my mind.
