When I was a kid, I would have considered chips and dip bowls like this the height of elegance, somewhere up there with layered jello in parfait glasses. We didn’t eat chips very often, and we certainly didn’t have them with dip, so this little ensemble would have been quite a treat in our house. I came up with this idea when I saw this set of bowls at an antiques warehouse, and it reminded me of one of my mother’s favourite salad bowls. It’s turned out to be quite a lot of work to make (***see my video in the blog), but I’m pretty happy with the result.
